The existing dual carriage is a green corridor passing by the town of Swords. The trees and undulating grass embankment impose a width between the new development, allowing light and air to permeate the site. The scale of the scheme and the width of the green corridor afford the opportunity of building a large-scale development while providing a high degree of visual amenity.

 

The new system of urban spaces, pedestrian and vehicular bridges stitch the two new developments together making a new centre for Swords. The new “Forum” will be the heart of a re-located town centre catering for, specific civic and cultural events on a daily, monthly and annual basis.
